About our Learning Tools - The
Write Way To Learn® 'Power Pack' is the product of years of
research and product testing by teachers, learning specialists,
parents & homeschool parents, occupational & speech therapists,
librarians, and, most importantly - kids! That is what makes the
"Power Pack" so effective - it is simple learning, backed by the
best ideas in the educational world.
About the Founder - Write Way To Learn® was
founded by Angie Sharp, a mom with a passion to make learning
fun and easy for children. After her young son began learning
the sounds of the alphabet, he eagerly wanted to read bedtime
stories to his little sister. To encourage her son's enthusiasm,
Angie began searching for a teaching product that was
interactive, fun, and creative. There was no individual product
available that provided the comprehensive and exciting learning
experience she wanted for her son, so she began creating
Learning Cards using family photos and recycled paper. Since
then, she has received a provisional US Patent on her creation,
and it has evolved into the rich educational tool it is today.

What are Learning Cards?
Learning Cards are the simple and
effective learning tools featured in the Power Pack.
Constructed from heavy laminated cardboard, both
sides of the cards feature full-color photographs
and large writing areas. They are non-toxic,
oversized (8.5" x 11"), and sorted into four sets -
three gently-progressive levels, plus a
personalizable set that can be customized with the
child's own photos, name, artwork, etc. Cards are
wipe-clean so that children can practice their
writing, then "magically" wipe it away to use again!
Cards are designed to be used by both right and
left-handed learners, and also feature sign
language. Large text is used on the cards to promote
retention through large motor movements.
What about Sign Language?
Power Packs incorporate American Sign Language "Fingerspelling"
to provide yet another way children can interact
with learning. Each card includes illustrations of a
child's signing hand, reflecting the unique
dexterity of children's hands. This feature can be
used as a supplemental activity, or the Power Pack
can be used to teach children and adults the entire
alphabet, spelled-out words, names, and numbers 1-10
in sign language. The guide included in each Power
Pack contains information about sign language, as
well as complete instructions on how to teach "Fingerspelling."
"Personalized Learning"
Each Power Pack contains a "Personalized
Learning" set. In this set are four cards that can
be personalized - two with the child's own creative
illustrations, and two using a clear picture pocket
and blank writing area. Most kids enjoy inserting
photographs of themselves and family members, then
using the card to learn how to write each person's
name. The pouch can also hold drawings, magazine
clippings, collages, etc, and be used to write about
those images. Since cards can be re-personalized
over and over again, the possibilities are endless!
